At War with the Wind

Sears does a masterful job of combining the 'big picture' and 'personal experience'. Particularly interesting for me is the personal accounts of the Japanese combatants involved.

If you're a lubber, then this book probably deserves the number of superlative reviews and is probably a good read. Otherwise, save your time.

Good reading, but probably second tier for the World War 2 reader. Nice synopsis of the Pacific campaign.
