This book is a good value for the $$ and it covers the basics well- cultivation, parasites, fertilizer use, etc. It is an excellent starting point for the beginner.

Has an excellent section grouping houseplants by family that I have used many times. Well organized and very informative.

I've been trying to find a good comprehensive book on indoor plants that is at least the equal of my old standby, Foliage Plants for Decorating Indoors by Mr. and Mrs.
